"The paradox of in-class questions versus private google forms has exposed itself to me too. No matter how many times I ask, “Is everything okay?” or “Am I going too fast?' I’m usually met with a steady string of nods or “All good, Lance 老师.” And yet, when I give them a private google form where (heaven forbid) they don’t have to say it to my face, I’m met with much more open feedback about the class (this was for level 1): “It would be nice if we could spend more time on stroke order,” “I really like writing characters,” “It would be helpful if you slowed down a little bit,” and “No more flip grids.” What is it that makes it so hard to say these things to your teacher’s face?"
